Basic Cleaning

Routine or “Every Visit” Items. In this category are listed the housecleaning tasks that we consider routine or “every visit” items. Keep in mind that we are happy to customize your housecleaning to include the tasks you want every time and the tasks you want rotated. However, unless instructed by the client, basic or “every visit” housecleaning includes:
Kitchens- Counters
- Appliance surfaces (large and small)
- Sinks
- Inside the microwave
- Tables and chairs
- Spot-check cabinet fronts
- Dust applicable surfaces
- Clean the floor
Bathrooms- Counters
- Mirrors
- Toilets
- Tubs

- Spot-check cabinet fronts
- Vacuum and mop or hand-wash floors
- Shake throw rugs outside
Dusting and Vacuuming- Dust: Windowsills, furniture, shelves, tables, chairs, lamps

- Vacuum and mop: Living areas, home offices, recreation rooms, bedrooms, hallways, entries
Wastebaskets- Empty wastebaskets

- Dust or wipe baseboards
- Clean ovens
- Clean cabinet fronts
- Clean inside refrigerators
- Polish furniture
- Wash woodwork
- Clean out fireplaces (when ashes are cold)
- Vacuum upholstered furniture
- Vacuum drapes or other window coverings
- Dust or wash blinds
- Dust or wash shutters
- Dust or wash ceiling fans
- Scrub grout
- Clean inside cabinets and drawers (typically on vacancy cleanings)
- Clean light fixtures
- General glass cleaning: Your housekeeper can clean select windows (e.g., over the kitchen sink or sliding doors).
